PSLE cHAmp Masterclass

Build cHAmpion Habits, Smart Study Strategies, and Confidence for the PSLE Years

The PSLE cHAmp Masterclass is a 1 day mastery learning session designed for Primary 5–6 students to equip them with practical study skills, clear structure, and habits that support learning and confidence as they progress toward PSLE.

This masterclass focuses on how to study effectively, helping students think, plan, and prepare with greater clarity and control.

By the end of the day, students will walk away with:

  • Time-management strategies

  • Clear principles for planning and timetabling their week

  • Effective note-making techniques to organise and understand content

  • Memory strategies to support retention across subjects

  • Guidance on creating a focused and effective study environment

  • Personal goals and a clear direction for their PSLE journey

Why does this matter in P5 - P6?

As students move into upper primary, expectations and academic pressures intensify. They are expected to:

  • Manage time and school work independently

  • Study more strategically, not just longer

  • Retain and recall larger volumes of content

  • Stay motivated and organised under pressure

When students lack structure or effective study methods, they may feel overwhelmed or unsure of how to cope. This masterclass provides students with the tools and systems they need to study with confidence and purpose.

Who is this programme suitable for?

This programme is ideal for Primary 5 and Primary 6 students (ages 11–12) preparing for PSLE who want to approach their PSLE years with greater confidence, clarity, and control over their learning.

It is especially suited for students who:

  • Feel overwhelmed as academic expectations increase
  • Are capable but lack confidence, consistency, or direction
  • Struggle to manage time or plan their studies independently
  • Feel anxious, unmotivated, or unsure how to prepare effectively for PSLE
  • Want to build stronger habits and a more positive mindset towards learning

The masterclass helps students develop cHAmpion habits — the ability to plan ahead, stay organised, and approach challenges calmly and strategically. Through guided activities and practical frameworks, students learn how to think about studying, not just what to do.

The programme is suitable for both students who are doing well academically and those who may be struggling. High-performing students often benefit by strengthening their self-management, mental resilience, and confidence, helping them work smarter, stay focused, and sustain motivation as demands increase.

How are sessions structured?

The Master class runs from 10:00am - 5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Sessions are:

  • Small-group based
  • Age-appropriate and interactive
  • Facilitated by trained educators and coaches

Students will take part in:

  • Guided activities and hands-on exercises
  • Reflection and goal-setting sessions
  • Practical application of study strategies

The day is designed to be interactive, engaging, and allows children to feel supported while being gently challenged to grow.

Will my child need to bring anything?

Students should bring basic study essentials (e.g. stationery, water bottle, and a light jacket). All Masterclass learning materials will be provided.

What is the coach-to-child ratio?

Children are grouped in small teams, with a maximum coach-to-child ratio of 1:6.

Group sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention and a supportive learning environment.
