This programme is especially helpful for children aged 7–10 (Primary 1–4) who:
Struggle to stay focused or get easily distracted
Find it hard to follow instructions or routines
Feel overwhelmed or frustrated when tasks feel challenging
Rush through work or forget what they are supposed to do
Benefit from structure, guidance, and encouragement
Many children are still developing these skills at this age. This programme is designed to support them in a positive, age-appropriate way.
How many days is the Executive Functioning Skills Lab programme?
The programme runs over 2 days and is designed to support meaningful learning and retention. Children are introduced to three core executive functioning strategies on Day 1, with opportunities to practise them in a supported setting. On Day 2, the same strategies are reinforced and applied again, helping children consolidate their learning and build confidence in using these skills independently.
Can my child attend only 1 day of the Executive Functioning Skills Lab 2-Day series programme?
The Skills Lab is designed as a 2-day programme, and attendance on both days is strongly recommended. Learning builds across the two days, with executive functioning strategies introduced, practised, and reinforced through guided activities. Attending both days ensures a complete and holistic experiential learning experience for your child.
Why does Executive Functioning skills matter?
As children move through primary school, expectations increase rapidly. They are expected to:
Follow multi-step instructions
Stay focused despite distractions
Manage time, materials, and responsibilities
Regulate emotions when tasks feel challenging
Complete work with increasing independence
When executive functioning skills are still developing, children may appear forgetful, impulsive, easily distracted, or emotionally overwhelmed even when they are capable and intelligent.
When executive functioning is strengthened early, children are better equipped to meet school expectations with confidence rather than stress.
What is the coach-to-child ratio?
Children are grouped in small teams, with a maximum coach-to-child ratio of 1:6.
Group sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention and a supportive learning environment.
What is the programme experience like?
We aim to make the learning experience fun for your child. To help your child learn better, they’ll be guided to participate in interactive hands-on activities and challenges that provide opportunities for interaction and teamwork. There will also be a self reflection segment at the end to wrap up the learning experience.
Sessions are:
Small-group based
Age-appropriate and interactive
Facilitated by trained educators and coaches
Designed with a balance of activity, discussion, and reflection
We cultivate an environment that is supportive and encouraging, helping children feel safe to try, make mistakes, and grow.
Will my child need to bring anything?
Students should bring basic study essentials (e.g. stationery, water bottle, and a light jacket). All learning materials will be provided.
